The increasing volume of public investment in capital construction and the lack of explicit control over the effectiveness of investment projects at all stages of their implementation have revealed the need for additional regulation and an assessment of the effectiveness of spending budget funds. The development of an integrated and systematic approach to such regulation led to the establishment of an institute for an independent public technological and price audit. An independent and public TCA is the most effective mechanism for increasing the efficiency of an investment and construction project. The article deals with the mechanisms of technological and price audit for investment projects with state participation in accordance with the current Government Decree, according to the Draft Government Decree for investment projects of natural monopoly objects, as well as the standards of organizations.
